Riffin' On Time as a Potency

“O son of Kunti, at the end of the millennium all material manifestations enter into My nature, and at the beginning of another millennium, by My potency, I create them again.” 9.7 Bhagavad Gita The Most Confidential Knowledge

In Transcendental frameworks, time is nothing but a potency of Source, a potency which sees the consciousness of creatures born into this world conditioned deeply regarding the nature of God. Somewhere along the way, for some, the door of procreation is opened, and this actually allows for the creation, somehow, of new consciousnesses…new eternal, individuated souls that will be born into this world and conditioned by the potency that is Time, a mask of the Eternal, Monotheistic God which sees people transformed so utterly in his image that they too live on eternally, utterly one with the boundless dominion of Love, yet still themselves…such is available to us, in flashes, on this side of life, through transcendental communion/living in harmony with Universe.

Time gets it right, every time. Very few people see time in such terms, as essentially a mask of the Transcendent…and they generally don’t view a single thing in this entire cosmos, let alone all of it, as being boundless, and as such there is a lot of seeming good cause for rampant confusion regarding this thing we call life, as well as big picture ideas as to what it’s all for and where it’s all heading. In fact, because of the way this material matrix is designed, and tonally here I am being an utter rat bastard to the intellectual atheists of the world who, with damn good reason, choose to see God in secular terms, but nonetheless whose ontological systems entail some sort of framing of “the boundless vehicle” that when engaged proves the nobler nature of man…that we’re somehow bigger than our very species and occasionally capable of superhuman feats…God, or some sort of secular vehicle infused with the boundlessness of outright sorcery/faith (faith buried deep, deep towards the bottom of the iceberg here)… is the only concept that can make good sense out of existence.

With all of this crazy craziness we’ve inherited culturally… the things of the material world truly can only be organized by the eternal principle, by the Source, and the dynamics of life are getting the people of the world to do most of this organizing…we call it civilization and living a universally lawful life… none of this seems to add up until it all clicks into place comprehensively in one big “A-HA!” moment… this world is under the dominion of God, and this world simply refuses to make meaningful sense to the individual, and sees them sort of mangey and on the fringes, until they consciously realize as much.

I guess this is the great civilizing mission of civilization…it’s about spiritual actualization and the manifestation of social conditions optimal for the creation of new Everlasting souls.

The point of today’s passage is to elucidate that time…material existence even…is but a potency of God. At the beginning we spring forth from the very Nature we strive to emulate as adults, so as to escape victoriously into with at the time of the mortal death. It sounds weird to say around young people, but this is what the old people do with it, spirituality. They get the hell out of here, in style…

Along the way we cultivate the ability to use our will to direct the very nature we’ve sprung forth from, and to do as much is a sublime joy/the very meaning of life. It’s a form of communion rooted deeply in service… but it’s also the ultimate self-actualization…a fantasy built around the image of your very Heart. Some of us go on to have children in such a fashion…some of us have accidents instead and that’s just fine too… some of us just transform the very conditions of the material world around us in a fashion that’s beneficial to the prospects of life and love in general, in a victory for the devotional lifestyle and it’s practical, social value. Some of us go headfirst into the mystic, and somehow perpetually inspire of shorter, cleaner, whackier, nearly ineffable paths, in all at all moments… whatever it is that you do, it is taking place within time, a potency of God, and no matter what it is, it can be in sublimation to that.

Alex Grey's "The Cosmic Christ" (seen here in terrible detail!) is a patchwork of historically famous moments, the surface level analysis of which elucidate lessons parallel to those taught in the parables of Christ, so as to present Time itself as a tapestry (depicting the cosmic Christ), and to suggest that this is true of all moments, or anything we choose to find meaningful (they flesh out the heart of Christ).
