“But the sacrifice performed for some material benefit, or for the sake of pride, O chief of the Bharatas, you should know to be in the mode of passion.” 17.12 Bhagavad Gita The Divisions of Faith
All things in equipoise, expanding out from a center for which time is but a potency conditioning the consciousness of individuated beings, rearing the infantismal into a total immersion with essence itself by way of the very individuated and actualized identity, so as to respectfully draw up the madman across the water, the sculpted image of the Virgin Mother, or perhaps even the modern Madonna, for what it is to those taken by it, spontaneously, in the unfolding of days…to create space in the framings for static images having the potential to evoke transcendence…supra-Identity…a primordial singularity… to see the shadow behind the form…and in feeling a fondness for the example of peers or elders, even, realize that they have brought you into some sort of meaningful congress with the deepest mystery of life, in doing as people do, in getting together and keeping on with our ways…
Some people try to strip life bare for the sake of some supposed spiritual lucidity…that, when you think about it, must be clearly confined to a mental point of reference, and can’t really account for communal realities…by way of its very percolation. They refuse to acknowledge identity itself as some sort of transcendental trip largely carried out by sublime and powerful forces, and they describe away natural scenes and powerful physical phenomena as simply “about” “inducing” some sort of thing that is best captured in 3-4 very concise and belabored over sentences. They separate wisdom from experience, lock it away entirely within concept, and for the sake of avoiding personal suffering, go into a life of using concept to condition conditioning conditions, which themselves occasionally stoke chaos for the sake of the very effective propagation of the species, something ironically often beyond the culturally composed ‘survival mind’, mutating advantageously…
To such people “sacrifice” would be construed as needing to squarely be about Source, and the fruits of the very universe, as well as society…beauty…riches…ornate skills that were spontaneous occurring disciplines that exceptional individuals ultimately ascribe to a personal “chase”/engagement of God… these things are somewhat snubbed, as has happened with the church in the west relative to the society…imagine framing it up as their general response to Hollywood as a whole…they’ve outright fought culture wars against them along the very lines of the types of identities they systemically encroach upon as an institution.
They do not recognize all things in equipoise…they do not see that the Source they’re so infatuated with is using identity to champion the prospects of Source, materially…which, historically, means that they are out of touch as individuals… “behind the times”, a reference point for moral assessment/judgement as an abstract, methodical act, as if an unwarranted reminder that within the fluidity of being one’s self is an unblemished purity… as if passing judgement is a reliable method for personal contentment. Nonetheless, this would mean that the times are Divinely mandated, which would be incredibly comforting…if that were so, that the only way to be with them or fully in the now is to arrive heart forward and very much disciplined…
Admittedly, it does seem a bit silly from a lot of conventional spiritual methods to try to chase material things once you have a deep vision that everything material is in sublimation to a deeper Singularity…all of these methods seem to try to get you hooked on turning to the Singularity…which would be socially isolating, and then would also take you out of play in regards to being responsive in a generally kind way as you are out and about in the world. It’s all about where you are on your path, admittedly, but we are absolutely to chase peculiar, attractive, shiny things…there is no opting out of this for some higher spiritual order…beauty is a spiritual order, the very thing we are chasing here…
The “sacrifice” “performed for some material benefit” or even for the sake of “pride”, you should know to be “in the mode of passion”. Admittedly, if you aren’t enlightened, methodically, passion is a dangerous game. It’s also a fun game. We are to chase shiny, beautiful things. Our hearts sing for what we personally need. Sometimes, that’s just God’s way of getting you to do the sorts of things you could never do without the help of that specific person or object of affection. Magnetism is about making connections, not stirring internal discourse. What we can’t find at hand in contexts we must conjure up with images, methods…sorceries…
Images have effect by evoking… what we struggle to put a single word to. It is undifferentiated, yet experienced. It is Total. It is our very life, it’s what leaves our body on its last day. We are It.
There’s been a tragic image of the wayward seeded by western religion that just somehow kills the Shangri-La that emerges mid-day in our midsts; everything, every passion, every desire, every journey every man has ever taken socially has just been him trying to somehow concretize the Ineffable and holy, loving God. I don’t understand how they (the church) are associated with hopelessness and austerity and dry disciplines… it should be a wildly exuberant unfolding of why the specific events which have transpired locally as of late have probably happened, which would usually be deeply comedic. Something about how they couldn’t look sexuality in the eye and treat it in a respectful way has amounted to the craziest dark turns in the entire system. Jesus Christ, disease isn’t a cold and aloof system, and rarely is even socially problematic, it seems, the honest truth of it is that we live in a paradise that also just recently got fiber optic internet and iPhones, and they’re (the church) pouring arsenic in their morning coffee because they can’t come to terms with the paradigm “chicks with dicks” being prattled off by a bulldog, Alex Jones-esque voice. If you just yell it, they flinch.
Images have effect by evoking…what we struggle to put a single world to. It is undifferentiated, yet experienced. It is Total. It is our very life, it’s what leaves our body on its last day. We are It.
And they flinch.
Anyways, it turns out that it’s the shine that is golden, hence not everything that shines is gold like in the same way that if someone is trying to murder you it’s pretty badass to knock them out cold by smashing a beer bottle over their head, but it is in fact the antithesis of badass to actually proactively hit someone over the head with a beer bottle. Everything is potentially in play. Furthermore, to just police abstracts isn’t effective really. Prohibitions shape society but they don’t address root issues; we’re here to see each other through…to get each other to where we need to be in life…and at the moment the food pantry owns that narrative…and they try to wrap your whole cosmic destiny up with peanut butter and it just doesn’t work like that… we need to do larger than life things, and can, because we are a people…and our country is beautiful. It’s already our way, it’s what the others who came before have been up to to survive and be happy.
But ultimately, a lot of this clears up with the simple, big shifts. At the moment, spirit is theoretical, and matter is real. But that isn’t the foundational starting point of a majority of the physical sciences even… the professionals run away with it, the base level culture gets somewhat left behind while a small percentage of the population is well aware but really has no power to do much about it other than blog or write a prog rock album.
Infinity is real. It has informed the modern era, the great thinkers of it, and has become a guiding force of the institutional curriculums, but is suspiciously never really studied as a topic outright, never even presented as a relevant paradigm, unless in fringe areas…unless you happen to be going to seminary school. Certain areas of physics, of philosophy, and the such will present it as a conceptual notion, but….when people talk of “mastering” something, anything at all, that process entails seeing it as an offshoot of Infinity and making it as transparent to the Transcendent Source as a practice as possible…such is like a Pentecostal template at the very least. Think of it like rock guitar…the great ones make that thing sound like anything but. The sky is the limit. Anything can become anything, while still remaining utterly constrained/itself…by being its deepest self.
