Riffin’ On Dynamism within Conceptual Territories

Updated: Feb 25

“The result of pious action is pure and is said to be in the mode of goodness. But action done in the mode of passion results in misery, and action performed in the mode of ignorance results in foolishness.” 14.16 Bhagavad Gita The Three Modes of Material Nature

All things manifest are sublimely perfect as they are because of some mysterious unfolding at the level of identity that is evident in each and every observable phenomena, but that we typically access as peak moments of “lucidity” or “enlightenment” after much unpacking after the fact. That as much is so comments upon what we perceive intelligence, or perhaps identity, capacities of any variety, or existence as a subjective being in the general sense, even, to truly…be…what is done by being conscious of truths after experiencing experiences… by living within the constraints that every individuated being ever has or ever will live within…

That we are not experiencing the Now as it rolls in as eternity manifest by way of temporality, and instead of being clear in “spontaneous” unfolding find ourselves having a sense that not only disconnection is possible but is very much concrete and inescapable, that unintelligence/inadequacy is primed by the context at hand in a meaningful and definitive way…betrays our thoughts as a people, the American people, or perhaps just citizens of Western super-powers, regarding this thing we call life are systematically off to the tune of opening the door to suffering, socially. Some of this is dire. All of it is entirely unnecessary.

All things manifest are sublimely perfect as they are. Within this territory people are wearing too much axe body spray and genuinely eating tide pods. Irrational behavior…spontaneously irrational behavior… is not random. “Passion” exists not to create the “misery” that follow in its wake, but a more comprehensive goodness, an extension of the territory that is “goodness” as its deemed in today’s passage, actually. Please pity this person who had chances and didn’t measure up…yo…I love them…etc.

“Ignorance” is of a nature that it’s the stuff that isn’t aligned with our value systems in any way. It’s not truly real, but it has an effect, “foolishness”. Even foolishness is but the Dharma in a fool’s cap. It’s on its way…everything that exists is real/informed by the subtext…by deep coercion. Everything is good, and we are unto each other.

Both “misery” and “foolishness” are but masks…they arise from love, and are about compassion. All things in life are. There are no waywards. Real leadership brings them into the fold, and that which allows societies to prosper/sustain themselves favorably is doing precisely as much.

Social authority is as such that it will always parse things in responding to the people that some are turned wayward and are effectively cut off from ways of being that ensure their effective survival. It’s never justified or how the dust is supposed to settle. It’s supposed to always potentiate a compassionate response from an appropriate center, from someone who knows how to address the root cause. Ultimately we’re all to be meaningfully equals…as well as happy.

As above, so below
