Riffin' On Wookery

Here at Riffin’ On we’ve been going through some changes/experiencing some persistent growing pains. To put it bluntly, while largely an independent entity, we, like any great social venture, are not without our handlers/administrators. Historically, these individuals have shaped the content of this blog for much of its existence, and inexplicably, while emitting a to-be-entirely-unexplored air of obvious professionalism/pragmatism, they have generally been against the focus on psychedelics as a subject matter.

The fact of the matter is that simply…just as there are iconic passages from the New Testament being falsely interpreted, interpreted to mean the antithesis of the intended message of the actual passage/teaching even (as with John 14 which is sometimes interpreted as expressing the supremacy of Christian traditions over others rather than the subjective experience being seen as bound to participate in some sort of game that will always reach outside the bounds of a person’s religious identity in that it is concerned with the entirety of their life activities, and that this is a universal human experience that uses the circumstances of life to whiddle us into the image of our Maker), there are A LOT of really ineffective psychedelic consumers out there, and they truly are taking perfect vehicles, legitimate God particles that retain distinguished personal identities (DMT, LSD, Peyote, etc.), and are making little effective use out of them.

I can not be any more sincere when I say that LSD is an entirely safe substance, a legitimate God particle, concerning which are many comical and mean-hearted misunderstandings in the general public’s mythos, the most serious of which goes entirely unspoken…the notion that this isn't Siddhartha. This is the Buddha, not merely just a path, but a serious emanation of God himself.

If approached with the right perspective on it’s “ultimate” potential, as well as it’s nature/identity, it opens up intuitively, and its utter practicality/amazingness can be glimpsed in a way that I’d wager as many as 96% who have ever taken the substance haven’t really seen.

There’s really no drug to be there even, and yet there always is, as there is a duration…a body buzz, a finiteness to it as an ingestible substance/experience that is inescapable. But there are many elements of it that are so utterly Transcendent, the data seems to say…

Where does God get to take concrete form and become a commodity that, although not readily available, can be chased by those with serious intent nonetheless? It’s within the realm of the entheogens. My previous handlers didn’t want to fully acknowledge this, or felt some responsibility to not let natural light bathe upon this…to not let it grow…

The fact of the matter is if that not in entheogens… I really struggle to find God as a commodity. I really struggle to find commodities that make our minds so adaptable to positive change, so naturally open to new habits and healthy cravings… it’s undeniable if you simply pay attention how positive all of the stuff is, and I defend it not so much to pave a path to repeated use but moreso to regain fruits I’ve reaped which have gone stale because I turned my back on a living thing.

Things happen to psychedelic users. Things such as… ‘I did X and then that night I felt a greater sense of bodily control over my toes, and ever since that night it’s stayed…I have greater lower body strength in some fashion now.’ We’re failing to capture this in assessing the value of these substances. What’s taking place is more of destiny than a cure to something that was ailing…like there was always something missing, it didn’t seem super important that it was, but it was, and this moment was always coming…

Life is a lot simpler and less dangerous as we’ve been making it out to be with our narratives on reality. This is the return to as it should be, the appropriate balance. The efficacy of these things isn’t social or determined by people, and I think that’s where all the darkness comes from…are we ever going to hand it over to a force greater than ourselves without fear of retaliation from the senseless mob?

The fact of the matter is, and has been, for decades now…is that if you want to go chasing rabbits, and take a plunge down Alice’s hole… you can, and it’s a positive thing to do. There’s an enigma out there packaged for consumption that when consumed actually, in time, consumes you, transforming the very foundation of your conscious assessment of the world in such a fashion that you become magnetized for the abundant flow of blessed moments and perhaps even miracles. It will make a man out of a boy, and it defers to the larger culture, somewhat honoring what we tend to honor.

It’s frankly not fair because the guys who outlawed it get to get high off of working in Washington DC…they’re sorta high on the very same stuff us weird psychedelic consumers get high off of…power…importance…a meaningful life. Then again they don’t get to use psychedelics so maybe it is fair…

There’s something…about hospitals. About the practice of medicine…it is…as if it is observable that it’s from something greater than our comprehension even if its purely a scientific affair. The experience of it seems to refer in some way to a higher power just out of sight… and whatever it is that developed common and necessary practices in Western medicine, that is out there in the hospitals healing people in a way that can’t fully be captured by method…is very much present in the atypical LSD trip. You know it’s the same Boss, so to speak, as the E.R., and that he provided the E.R. …

These are not irrational constructs, but they are insane notions. Being stupefied high on the acidz, and thinking “This (looks at own arm)… this is the same boss as the E.R.!”

Obviously, most of the serious work of a trip takes place well after the drug comedown. The brand is one of burnout hilarity…you laugh at your inability to be normal at all in the moment… it’s all a technique of embedding it in your memory, the giggle fits and the bliss pockets that seem random.

I mean to convey, I am not purely in the realm of concept here. The conventions of the trip…the things the trippers are experiencing, that any simple survey will establish as shared and recurring experiences that transpire within the psychedelic state, there is a cipher which cracks them entirely. Every little bit of it is serendipitously perfect in construction.

These things naturally steer people towards a perfect balance with creation…not with just mankind but plant and animal life, as well as the weather. It changes your experience of being outside. It changes the way you respond to nature’s abundance (consumed plants and substances...the vitamin E in your lip balm realllly works now)... there are meditations that do this, but to have this all done nutritionally... We know that they tend to have a positive impact on people. Burnout from any job in this country is more damaging than these substances…going to your job is probably far worse for you some days than consuming most entheogens (LSD definitely) safely/appropriately.

Are you guys ready to realize that the corporations only exist because we put them on and that hardly any of them are sitting on mind-blowing information? A bag of mushrooms is a more impressive venture than several companies on the fortune 500.

Companies are amazing...or should be. It's the classic human feel good story...ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things...but some of these things are God particles...people meet God accidentally though them, in a visceral way. I simply mean to capture the power dynamics aren't hopelessly skewed...there is hope for the little guy, he truly is bigger than the collective in several senses of it.
