“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8
To be crassly blunt, what we have in today’s passage is merely an extension upon the notion that judgement, and the act of forming/acting upon one, is territory reserved solely for “the Father”/God/impeccability predicated upon an objective moral code. This is culturally popular notion, usually associated with Scripture, judge not lest ye be judged, or something along these lines…, and often times when we are presented with it culturally, we take it as a mandate to show compassion towards our fellow man…which is a bit silly to get technical, as we are hardwired as creatures to always pass judgements…it’s the foundation of any courses of action which we take… really the quote is probably being a bit divorced from it’s Biblical context, and when the actual passages are studied, we would see a scenario in which it’s being presented that it’s the lot of all Beings who are not the Father to forever be in servitude to their fellow life-forms, incapable of getting any further ahead, meaningfully, of the last in the flock, and the lot of all mysteriously being salvation…the flip-side of this, although I’m not certain that Scripture directly expounds upon it…it probably does…being that God and God alone can play the aloof One who rests at the position of inflicting suffering as a corrective course of action on existence (man in contrast bound to servitude with their fellow lower life forms; in the thick of it together)…this would be that which demands said beings in servitude to one another eventually…actualize…
It would eventually lead to a world in which the cultural systems can meaningfully neuter the potential for meaningful suffering, largely, with surgical precision… and has, across time. It saw the advent of cities, of empires, and now of what the academics have deemed “post-modernity”…a difficult to sustain yet lucid take on the cultural issues of the day that somehow keeps an individual effectively postured in the wellspring of well-being… beyond the modern world…in a timeless/transcendental position known socially as “communion” or trance…. which is but itself just a regurgitation of the cultural system taught in the Bhagavad Gita, Transcendentalism… a book which may actually be the oldest cultural relic, of a religious nature, that we have record of at the moment.
Anyways, we as Beings are hardwired to pass judgements…we can’t not, at any given moment, it’s an integral aspect of the awareness of being an individuated being. Even the inebriation of alcohol, short of killing you, can’t fully dim it… so go figure, we actually are to pass judgements, and today’s passage gives us the entire template by which to do as much. Ideally, the Lord is not saying what He says in today’s passage (admittedly, I’m a bit of a bum for interpreting this as a stand-alone passage and not in the context of the chapter which it occurs).
Ideally, your thoughts are “His” thoughts…He creates and substantiates all of existence, and amongst that creates “destiny”…which is what “ought to be” in regards to how universal mechanics work at any given moment… ideally “His” thoughts, are the thoughts you choose to take on (you can only choose from iterations of “His” thoughts…the idea of there being a Hell would invalidate this entire system and nothing anywhere would make any sense at all)…His ways, your ways. And if they’re not, He can call you out on it like in today’s passage.
But this isn’t for Him to do from the sky, or even as a force of the cosmos. It’s for us to do as people in the living of our lives. We must pass judgement on situations…on all sorts of stuff… delicately… wisely…without flubbing it/asserting our will in a problematic way… and truly that’s all there is to it.
It sounds basic, but the neat aspect of it is that this easily allows for the vantage point that creation is ongoing and that the only thing that can develop/allow Beings to evolve as they should… is Love…it comes as the sunshine and the rainwater, but truly the entire world is in stasis and the only thing that can truly make anything at all happen is the stimulus which is love. Such is God’s determinism/salvation…
Love is the only force in the cosmos that is real/has impact. It’s one thing to feel a swell of inspiration at the notion…it’s a beautiful place to be…arguably the most romantic….and it’s another to run into another who hears that and spontaneously construes real mechanisms by which to make particular social realities manifest… there are stages to the path… at first everything calls one towards cultivation…but once mastery has been attained, and service utterly engrained as a habitual pattern/facet of the identity…the hardware that is your body/sensory tools starts kicking back some entirely new sorts of returns, but what’s most important, is that the feedback loops of this vehicle, whatever this thing is, are unmistakable, and clearly endowed.
Such is to interpret Scripture.

Eventually it all hits
