“O Janardana, again please describe in detail the mystic power of Your opulences. I am never satiated in hearing about You, for the more I hear the more I want to taste the nectar of your words.” 10.18 Bhagavad Gita The Opulence of the Absolute
Arguably, the most profound mid-life psychological shifts, achieved in the name of personal maturity, if only to have it construed in the social sphere as some sort of facet of communal destiny, manifest, as if to insinuate that with great men, the destiny of the man is the destiny of the tribe/collective, which have ever occurred in human history have been of a categorically neat, and singular shift…it is the shift away from the culturally inherited identity (which is a great undertaking on our behalf, to culture that into people, but it’s never good enough, somehow, and never will be, hilariously…) into consciously Being from a place of “the Absolute” with one’s behaviors, attitudes, beliefs, and worldviews. When one does this, the great paradigm shift of life occurs in which it all shifts from “survival” to “playful expression”…matter generally comes to be regarded more for the Infinite and Opulent subtext from which it springs forth than the limited forms themselves (the shadow behind the form), and sorcery/clairvoyance/magic/miracles/spirit/spirituality come into play. These are the “glory” of tasting Truth in a socially impactful way, of housing it in all that One does and circulating it with their life activities, and while typically regarded, if regarded at all, culturally in this day and age as being ear-marks of extremely rare and synchronistic moments, of moments of extreme personal exceptionalism ushered in by a level of luck that is enigmatic/heavy to merely experience… there is an underlying methodology in regards to personal living systems which rather dryly, rather matter-of-factly opens individuals to the mere possibility that this can happen in their lives, and which when acted upon, can force it to happen for them…
Before our minds are off to the races, let us drop it and simply return to today’s passage. This is the only thing we ever chase with Desire, we just need to cultivate the eyes to see it. All forms of desirable thing…all forms of pleasure, if you will, are in absolute sublimation to teaching the curriculum of the Absolute, especially should one engage desire conscientiously. One is “never satiated” merely “hearing about” the Absolute…they need to hear actual spiels…speeches…dialectics…pieces of pop culture media…anecdotes from friends…they need to hear these formatted just so…from a place that operates on the premises of the Absolute, to really internally be at a place of peace.
The very conventions of Hollywood…were predicated on these. We built our entire pop-culture/entertainment industry from these deep, Transcendental truths we knew automatically had power over individuals. That’s why the shows and the such actually do entertain… it stitches it all together…in a way that is meaningful to behold.
All forms of desire in your life, whether you realize it or not, are trying to get you consciously to a robust and lucid understanding of what academics, or those involved with formatting the Gita at least, call “the curriculum of the Absolute”…which is the curriculum of God/Love, manifest.
Today’s passage insinuates that to hear about the “mystic power” that is “the Absolute” leaves one “wanting” to “taste the nectar of” Krishna’s “words”. Apparently, it is to be construed that “the Absolute” manifests as “Krishna’s words” and we know from the larger context of the Gita that Krishna is ensuring meaningful Oneness with the Devotee by showing up and teaching these teachings which become the Bhagavad Gita when it’s all said and done. The hope is that this curriculum leads to Transcendental Communion, which is accomplished rather matter-of-factly by a living system that actually is the very same living system taught by every religion in the world, a living system which sees the localized individual, whether they be human, plant, or animal, as being an utter and effective stand-in for the will of the Cosmos at any given moment by simply living as they ought to…effectively allowing them to play, or even say that they are already Being…God.
They supposedly labeled Men as heretics for this one. What’s heretical is people being stupid enough to label another of their fellow man as a heretic…even if said person is actually being a heretic. There are no meaningful divisions at the layer of the onion in which every individual identifies, personally, as God…as a part of at all moments…a big part of the production, whose actions matter at each and every moment…
Any time the Gospel is actually taught…the Bhagavad Gita is taught…and God takes an embodied form and performs acts of God within this world before our very eyes… also too any time a mother lives her truth as she raises her children… any time that alcoholic at the dog food factory has a personal breakthrough regarding efficiency (even if ushered on by corporate redirects)… any time a baby is born…these moments, hilariously, are the same moment, Cosmically…worth the same as anything else…but we’re not quite there yet in regards to our day to day conceptions/our ability to see as much…
Desire is the root of all suffering. So desire effectively, and you cease to suffer.
Both desire and suffering are the same thing, despite being two very different entities. They are both trying to force an effective curriculum of “the Absolute”. To walk out of fear and desire pervasively is to merely see All in effective association with the concept you personally have cultivated internally regarding “the Most High”.
The white rabbit merely pulls you deeper into Wonderland and the concern for its citizens. The very same is true of sense impressions, which are the foundation of many desires, desires which see us rabbit chasing/using pleasure or the following of one’s bliss as a vehicle for Messianic energies in the world…
