Riffin' On's Patented, Simple Recipe For the Pervasive Shattering of Your Continuity

Because, you're stuck in a causation chain, after all...

“I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vendanta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.” 15.15 Bhagavad Gita The Yoga of the Supreme Person

The Transcendental position, while in concept, all-pervading, is found within. It’s “seated in everyone’s heart”…it is the “heart” in the figurative sense of what the organ is conflated with. Which, in so many words, is to say that the heart of Man, the very heart which beats within you, is God.

It’s here that “remembrance”… (a term used interchangeably with “wisdom”), “knowledge and forgetfulness” take form. You… the state of your maturity…it shapes the external world you encounter. At some level, it is entirely the external world you experience, as absurd as the notion may initially seem. You are “the world”.

It is “by all the Vedas” that God is to be known. In the process, we truly come to understand the “I am”…ourself specifically. We come to understand just what it is to be anything at all having experiences in the most general sense…to be anything at all having a life, in addition to coming into a deep understanding of who we are specifically in the grand scheme of eternal life…we come to understand Being, and Ourselves… “I am”.

(Before I press on here, I want to note that historically… the Vedas are thought to arrive shortly after the last ice age. Humans were coming together to live in civilizations once again ((as opposed to largely in small packs and stuff, underground in caves during the big chilly willy, barely scraping by))… the “Vedas” might’ve been the only example of Scripture in this cultural context at the time, but the phrasing of the passage here seems to imply that use of the word “Vedas” could simply mean “Scripture”, and it’s very possible it’s alluding to genuine scriptures to come (This religion, of any tradition in the world at the moment, seems to have the most sophisticated take on the obvious likelihood that God was doing the same thing not only on different continents, but that there were probably entire planets elsewhere in our galaxy that the same God was showing up to and relaying the same Scripture too…they were ahead of their time lol). It’s “by all the Vedas” that God is to be known would translate to mean that every religion’s canonical texts are equally sacred/divine permitting what they relay truly is “spiritual wisdom”. This would also mean that there’s an internal order of reason to spiritual wisdom and any time you are exhibiting that in your personal behaviors you’re somehow effectively “doing scripture”, whatever that means… When people channel it in this fashion the notion of scripture is dropped and people simply call it “communion with Source”. Ideally, we would only ever speak scripture, and this is why we practice devotionally…so as much becomes habit.)

“Vendanta” it should be mentioned were commentaries which apparently arrived at the “end of the Vedas” that resulted from a direct analysis of the Vedas. It’s the post-game show… people go through the highlight reels and mention what they really took away from it all and maybe format in such a manner as they stress how they’ll be implementing into their lives going forward. The Vendanta is like a curriculum of official texts that arrived historically (super long ago because the Vedas are old as dirt ((literally)) ), but every person who reads the Vedas (the Gita is from them) and then thinks about what they have read after the fact, reaching some sorts of conclusions of some variety… has “compiled” “Vendanta” of their own variety.

This is what Riffin’ on does! And this is what happened to me after starting a blog project on the Bhagavad Gita… apparently the “compiler” of “Vendanta” is Krishna. He is the “knower of the Vedas”.

The simple formula is… you read the scripture…you reflect/meditate on the scripture…you perhaps go social with it by doing a commentary, but even if you don’t….if you simply just come to understanding through studying the Gita or anything Vedic…somehow God has entered the frame and is in some weird cosmic daddy way the thing within you coming to the understanding.

It’s springing forth internally on the spot…coming into existence in this world in a way that is causeless because it’s an act of God and only God can do acts of God (this is why sacraments are ritualistic; there’s nothing a man can do to make a host into the Body of God, yet doing the ritual truly makes it happen every single time in a visceral and real way). Miracles are pouring out from the very start of the universe, and somehow that is within rather than without, it’s your very heart from which the light of the Divinity is trickling into this world, radiating outward for the benefit of all Living Beings…

At this point, you may as well throw on “Have a Cigar” by Pink Floyd, because modern America, as it’s slowing down, has forgotten how bullish their start really was. This used to be a country of tycoons… in which the interest of an impossibly rich man would be enough to ensure that every single remaining second of the long life waiting ahead of you was suddenly spoken for/filled out… contracts are drawn and signed, and the wildest of dragons, destiny itself, is chained.

The name of the game is the supreme interface anymore in this day and age. You definitely frame everything in terms of a Singularity, but do you do the Freud and reduce it all to libido, or the Hindu and stick with Karma… is it all the Father? Whatever it is, it’s a man…it’s a helluva man, with a prideful heart just the same psychologically as that of your best friend. So yeah, I guess to put in the personal terms…it seems to vastly outperform the impersonal (sorry Buddhists; I’m in trouble now lol)… because it’s from within, from the “heart” which comes “remembrance”, in addition to “knowledge and forgetfulness”.

If the precious jewel we’re after is spiritual wisdom…if this is just God in a very meaningful sense, forgetfulness is the big baddie in our life. And it’s from God… never in service to us as individuals or the social collective, this forgetfulness, but nonetheless... Whereas “remembrance” is called as much (as opposed to “wisdom”) because the part of our body that is timeless, that is God incarnate, is simply remembering what it is holding in place at all moments, and has been doing as much since time immemorial.

You are the source of the laws of the cosmos. At some level they hinge entirely on your destiny, and your will could potentially direct them.

This is why we study the Vedas, why we compile Vendanta conscientiously… to live well. To not effing die…to not lose people we don’t want to lose…to exercise the jealousy of our loving hearts over the will of the cosmos…in such a fashion as to prevent suffering from happening rather than seeing it as having some sort of grand purpose. We do it to “remember”…to remember the part of ourself that Transcends this world and is “eternal”…to be allowed to “remember” that we are God…to be allowed to be God, effectively.

Essentially... your particles are not to really have bondage. The material isn't the issue ever...the forms...it's the spirit...the Source. And that beat is...if you can't beat them, join them. You either are It, or you're on the wrong side of It.

Casteneda's Don Juan said that warriors must have the upmost of impeccability...the bottom drops out tonally. The terseness of the warrior life subsides and instead you have bliss... to have the upmost of impeccability would be akin to merging with awareness...being One with the Cosmos...and when this happens, we know that bliss happens. Unseemly bliss. Unreal bliss. This is the Lotus waiting to unfurl in all things at all moments... and what is ultimately asked of us in the moment is so simple, so small, so natural.
