Riffin' On's Flow State Approach to an Enlightened Mess of a Lifestyle

For a different approach to enlightenment…

It should start with a single notion. Perhaps that everything is Infinite at some level, even though we are largely constrained into experiencing this in a finite way. Everything is Infinite at some level.

And if this is true, that everything is Infinite at some level… then there lies infinite potential waiting to be awakened with human action. Disciplines collapse the infinite potentiality down towards certain ends, which are accomplished/manifested. This is what a Yoga is. It is how change is possible, that the Infinite Potential collapses into a finite reality… we typically only regard the collapsing of Infinity as “reality” actually and the study of Dharma reconditions our approach…

From this perspective it becomes abundantly clear that with action, anything is theoretically possible for acting Beings. It takes discriminating wisdom to make the loftier, more desirable sorts of outcomes manifest… we’ve always known this about life. If you want the good stuff, you need put in the work…but there’s always a way!

It sounds sort of weird to say, but we’ve also always known that you must do things a certain way to produce a certain outcome. This will be important to consider when it comes time to look at conventions within clairvoyant action, which I feel can be summed up under the single umbrella that is “Testifying to the Infinite Nature that is the foundation of all Finite Experiences” or merely… “testifying” in the religious sense of the term…

Testifying to the fact that all is God, that God is unknowable in a comprehensive sense, and that this mysterious territory that we can touch the surface of but never traverse is a source of great faith, a place that naturally breaks the habituated chain of expected response and instead asks people to expect…miracles.

Healers have been able to use this perspective to occasionally do their craft. But before I sell you snake oil, I must confess that I ultimately really believe the job of a good healer is to testify…about the nature of reality…to say what the priests are supposed to be saying, the monks and all the learned holy peoples… this is ultimately what both prophets and healers ever really did in the abstract…they testified, about the Heart of God, and this went hand in hand with preaching.

Across time, preaching and discourse has a tendency to grow complicated and nuanced in detail. Words have an enthralling tendency to do as much, we fall in love with them and keep spitting them out. When it comes time to execute spiritual activity however, it really always does come down to making principled decisions, which is a simple and quick process that is deliberately lean in regards to data considered; there is often a noticeable disparity between the loftiness of the highest religious/philosophical discourse and the starkness of executing miraculous/righteous/clairvoyant activity.

Those who testify with words, who preach, they drive the discourse to the heights of intellectual loftiness, inspiring the artists of the world. Those who testify by exhibiting a control over the conditions of others via a control over the very material forces of the Universe, the healers, they drive the culture forward in such a fashion that people are inspired to buy into the society/religious framework fully, and play along whole-heartedly…these esoteric fringer types somehow are the ultimate affirmation of the social system, whatever it is, because in many ways this type is moreso a man of compliance with Universal Will than he is a man who directs self-will masterfully… they are merely “do-ing” what the preachers are preaching about in the abstract, in the most powerful way imaginative. They are followers; they inspire the paramedics and nurses and teacher types of the world.

If everything is Infinite at some level…there’s infinite health and wealth in their midst, waiting to be awakened with wise and devotional action at any given moment- this is the miracle offered by the notion of an omnipresent God. I won’t pretend this can be done like magic but I do think that if people consider this as they go into interpersonal relations with others…it might change the way you go about interacting with others in a very positive manner. Seek positivity and you will manifest. Seek healing and love, and you will manifest it.

Socialization can accomplish anything.

And spontaneous miracles just may transpire, but then again…what is conversation in the first place? I can’t talk to anyone without doing all of these weird things where I know what they are saying halfway through their sentence and I’m already beginning to respond with body language with my next response cued…it all happens so fast and comes together spontaneously on the spot…it’s a powerful thing to witness, and despite being the active participant within it, I am moreso witnessing it than anything else. That is proof, to me, that the universe is creating itself in live-time.

Or perhaps a different single notion than the notion we are Infinite at some level. Perhaps we could start with a notion as seemingly different as “Love is the supreme force in the cosmos,” and we’d be able to pull out of it all of the same points as I just found in this journal entry. We, if we’re enlightened enough, could even start with an outright lie “God was shot during the Battle of the Bulge”. And somehow we could pull everything we just discovered today from that starting point…maybe no matter what crude material we are dealing with, eventually these truths will be relayed, and this will also refine our respective worldviews as individuals in such a way that we mellow out as we age and become more loving/social (making a motif focus of late stage maturation the recognition of Self in Other, culturally).

That Claritan can help you with your allergies is no less impressive than the fact that Jesus was able to resurrect Lazarus by calling upon the Father. If you truly understand the world as it actually is, that Claritan can help you with your allergies is proof of everything that ever was…it affirms history itself, and also comments upon the nature of God/existence. This is true of every fact in existence…every fact implies the ultimate truth/is an expression of it. Just as the shadow implies the form… the fact that you sneezed last Tuesday at 1:37 pm somehow affirms that Ozzy Osbourne once bit the head off of a bat, and the two events are very much related in such a manner that they can be viewed as being dependent on one another. No bat…no sneeze.

It’s silly but 1) this is how History works and 2) I want to get back to the realization that consciousness is it. As mortals, our consciousness is being conditioned by the conditions of the world. Effective living is often thought of as using your consciousness to control the conditions the world through some awesome self-serving combo of self-will and wise action, but that’s neither here nor there…if you are seeing anything, experiencing any sort of experience, if you are being a subject…you will have the experience that is “God” (the only Subject in this here Universe, partner) in a meaningful way, and this will explain the why of your existence and will be intimately related to all meaningful action you perform across your life. If you are having this experience…you are welllll on your way and the resolution is close and inevitable.

In this manner, hope is sanity. Optimism is truth whereas pessimism is honestly just a mis-reading of the situation. The idea that we do anything other than self-actualize and grow closer to the Source of our very Creation… these are the ideas I want to dissolve. To live is to grow, and to be alive is the ultimate victory/gift of all.

Alex Grey's "The Cosmic Christ" honors the notion that Christ is the king of Heaven by equating him with the internal order of reason guiding the flow of phenomena itself...by making Christ the template for experiences in general/the Universe, just as Krishna had the universal form in the Bhagavad Gita. On this cosmic body of the Christ are several scenes of esoteric/enigmatic spirituality throughout human history... Jesus giving the last supper to his Apostles...accounts of visitations by angels...there are even alien abductions depicted because historically the myth of aliens has gone hand in hand with conceptions of Divinity.

The idea is that every experience ever teaches the curriculum Christ taught. That everything that transpires ever is under the loving control of the Messiah...

That life itself is naturally an exploration of God, and has been, always.
