Riffin' On Dey Bow Bow *Chika Chi-ka*

It was the other evening in a rather hazy sort of playful discord server that a certain individual said exuberantly to me, as if it meant everything, that “the moon is the night time sun”, and truly in that moment there was some sort of illumination as meaningful as it was silly, utterly lost in translation.

“The moon is the night time sun,” was all I could answer back with as my eyes narrowed in strained pursuit, in hopes that the if I hopped into the vehicle that it’d take me to its previous destination on muscle memory alone…

In the philosophical mumbo, the great word gumbo, this is the territory of the “cult image” of the Deity. If “the Sun” is timeless and eternal, the moon is but an am embodied expression of it…filtered through “the night”. In Western framings it runs parallel to the phrase “Jesus is God made man,” (every human is; the act of conception is an immaculate conception; sperms penetrating eggs doesn’t explain eternal individuated consciousness; despite us being able to relate to Jesus’ example entirely in the figurative, there are elements of his story in the literal that clearly differentiate him from other Human Beings and singularly seem to posture him as the only Messiah, but then dictate that we all follow in his Messianic example at all moments by complying to Universal Will ((whether that be with righteousness as it typically looks, or righteousness through rancor [I haven’t forgotten the lenders in the temple, yo])) … the Moon is the Night time Sun.

It’s a rather unscientific statement. The Moon is not the night time Sun in a lot of respects in regards to scientific observations and important metrics within. Still though, existence is so huge that someone could potentially yield as much value out of the notion that “The Moon is the night time Sun” as “The Moon is clearly not the Night Time Sun”.

It’s the kind of statement/belief that encourages idiot bullies to belittle the believers. But we could clearly envision some sort of super eccentric/unique Zen-like character on the fringes of society who has encapsulated their personal brilliance within it…within the system that approaches life as if the Moon is the night time Sun. Factor in what we know of how people respond to being given the benefit of the doubt/utter respect and….you start to realize that in regards to the beliefs and worldviews people have out there, we should have faith that it works for those who believe it, especially if it’s something spontaneous and unique. Humans aren’t incompetent.

Historically, the idea of the “primitive peoples” and the notion of “primitive” beliefs has been…an atrocity in and of itself. As cited examples we see things like “The Native Americans believed that the Bison they killed was a manifestation of their God…” that’s nearly what every single world religion describes as the source of all nutrition for all beings on this Earth, but in practice we began to see science applied to beliefs that transcended science conceptually, and we saw logical fallacies galore committed in the name of attacking the reputations of entire cultural systems.

It was perhaps deliberate, but it also too can largely be envisioned as a communication breakdown. The beliefs beings expressed did have the transcendent approval/energy behind them…the moon was the night time sun, the buffalo was their God incarnate providing a bounty…. The cult image of the Deity was the Deity.

It’s in the frameworks of spontaneous action. People will naturally move past the scientific and a good chunk of what they are naturally doing will somehow become focused on an exploration of God, of the transcendent, even if the creature is merely trying to survive day in and day out. Somehow they will end up in the territory where their conscious focus is such, where they are directing their energy to saying things like “The Moon is the Night Time Sun,” and it’s as practical as the clothes keeping their bodies warm.

Which means, were we to approach this as if we were Yogis or something comparable, they have spontaneously had the enlightenment experience several times over in entirely weird and entirely personal terms. They probably haven’t glimpsed the conventional frameworks lovingly provided by the Oriental traditions, but that really depends on the cultural context they grew up within…perhaps such a statement betrays that I have grown up in the West.

Nonetheless, the focus of interpersonal relations is drawing the awareness they already have to the surface level…of integrating it properly into their conscious circuitry. That they already have “it”…that they are already “the One”…it’s a very respectful and positive/easy sort of affair. It’s a pleasure to do moreso than a grind…it’s us who grind us as individuals in our respective lives.

The subtext to this is that to go through this process usually makes people aware that Somebody has clearly been managing their life…managing when they encounter what and how. It becomes apparent while going through it that there is an invisible hand, and rather than it be a conceptual thing…they see in their past when and clearly where said hand intervened.

That hand promises equanimity at all moments regarding all creatures upon the Earth… is there a fog of confusion that can prevent the most hopeless of Men from becoming utterly brilliant? Not with these cats… everyone is the most important person ever at all moments, it’s insane. Our IQ is all the same the to them. The potential any one individual has in any situation ever…all the same to them.

The Moon is the night time Sun. It’s not as good as the wisdom related, “Everyone is equal at all times in material existence, by the grace of God.”

But it could be expressing just that. And perhaps those are heavily associated already in the area where people are saying “The Moon is the Night time Sun” and so they already communicated the latter half… it wasn’t lost in translation, to them.

It’s certainly a balancing act. All of these exhaustive thoughts and words…they are necessary. But the short hand is what really manifests out in public…people don’t launch into conversations this deeply philosophical at the bar. Bar philosophy conversations, like most “bar” phenomena, are about addressing the existential crisis of self-image… “Do I come off as deep?” not “Am I deep?”

It turns out that life is deep. That image is automatic, when done right. And that instead of packing it in with a bunch of frauds down there, that this world is exotic and weird and that bar is filled with exotically weird people…

The Moon is the Night Time Sun!

Or rather, just get together and start talking and it’ll happen if it hasn’t already. The sheer act of hanging out manifests it. Recreation manifests it. And speaking off of the cuff, because of how certain authority figures responded to my situation, the advice being tossed out there in this day and age is “be fearless and play”. Discipline has grown disingenuous in the midst of corporate culture and advances in technology which has allowed the authority figures in corporate circles to brazenly violate the privacy rights of individuals. If you’re looking for discipline backed by universe at the moment, look for it in your recreational hobbies. Anything else is probably laden with toxic masculinity and social plans that are being tacked onto a spiritual experience by money and the interests money tends to defend.

The Judge who sits at the Right hand of the Father...in some sense that's within you...He's the angel on your shoulder. You are expected to play the role of the Father as best you can in your life in living righteously/acting within the confines of Universal Will. We are to believe that Jesus has triumphantly ascended to Heaven and now is also, as the Father has always been, meaningfully "the Judge". What this means to reality is...what reality itself is shaped like, and everything that transpires within it. It's all governed by laws of causality that are subject to the Judge enforcing the holy objective at all times... this amounts to everything at all moments being a creation of God in live-time, in service to Him, that we are engaging, and certain behaviors (righteous, loving ones) are supposed to have been reinforced for us in personal ways in such a manner that we seek to serve in all that we do, and that we seek these opportunities in live-time.

Miraculously, by following the bread crumbs of "the next right move" we can quickly come to learn the comprehensive ways of Spirit in this world, as well as come to reliably know it's most dope (awesome) presence. It's... profound.

When the dawning thought says with meaning "The moon is the night time sun!" in this instance, the elephant in the room is Jesus. That's an act of Him. Still, rarely will these moments get social validation, but it is a normal thing in early childhood somehow...

This is because Jesus, in Messianic service, is part of the Universal force directing us towards spiritual actualization/fulfillment by using phenomena itself. Which means to live is to grow/become saved. The entire system, as Christianity was meant to be framed (no Hell, no valid threat of eternal duality/separation, no sin capable of lasting withing the confines that govern material life [salvation triumphant over all]) is invulnerable. This is Vegas, the machine is screwy, and it's simply going to pay out again and again and again...

Now that does entail service and charity and communal engagements at the loftier levels... still though it's very much a game of "follow your bliss".
