“One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God.” 18.55 Bhagavad Gita Conclusion-The Perfection of Renunciation
Being a Westerner, albeit this is on the recede in this woke era…the “brand” of spirituality that I’m used to seeing around is of the camp to say some real Melvin shit…some real dingus stick shit-which bullshit like “There aren’t no cutting corners with God!” Well, that whole trip has culminated in me feeling victorious as I rant about fringe subjects late at night, stoned on my laptop, filled with a conviction that escapes me, “God is like, the only way to cut corners mannnn.”
I do not mean to condone anything that is typically associated with the God trip. I mean ultimately I have backed most of it in my blog somewhere along the way, but to play along well to the social patterns of the day… I mean moreso to simplify and like capture, man, that I mean this more as a weird, pot-smoke enhanced life hack than something ornate and socially validated…
There’s this thing to thought…what is and isn’t easy for any of us to think about is entirely personal, and intimately related to our life experiences. Nonetheless, I think it’s a universal that to even sit and reflect on the concept of God, particularly to hash out the philosophical implications of the construct (which is a secular construct in its mechanistic parts…the idea of God is just as secular as the ideas of atheism and sour cream; they’re mechanically defined)… somehow, along the way, becomes active devotion. Or rather, it legitimately reverberates out into the outside world and causes drastic, positive, interventive change in the world.
So within…so without. Sometimes you’ll hear people say that super quick as if that isn’t the most important thing to absolutely nail down the specifics of. The implications of the notion would be that our thoughts can condition the states of matter in the world, possibly even matter that we aren’t currently perceiving… which is why like we can sense at times when things go wrong with loved ones, or we’ve been told that prayer and good intentions can be beamed outwards like we’re hulking satellites of significance.
I think many weird-o, permatrip, new agey, I want to shake up the machine by saying the most auspicious and empowering things ever, jackass Don Juan Romeo-types in the past have wanted to really go so far as to tell people “You control your aging process…you can control what happens to you in your life by being effective with your thoughts…you can be a God who manages every detail of your lifeeee” all willy-nilly. Oddly enough, it has it’s appropriate place and etiquette somewhere close to the notion that to engage God is to engage the world devotionally… and to be an effective positive force within it, simply by being conscientious in your personal time at home concerning the subject…
The whole trip, apparently, is to see God as “the Supreme Personality of the Godhead”. This is a dense concept. It means God is the basis of the psyche…that we are made in the image of his Personality, and because of as much, our personality really is as divine as it is mortal. The perfection of it is to reach into things that live on eternally…and that’s how we are to come to peace with eternal life, the realization of how little changes, assuming we are facing our mortality as adults well on in years.
If this is the “Supreme” personality, it’ll win out in social dynamics, and love really is supreme, the good guys really do win out when the resolutions come… we can rely on this, and that’s why people/societies are so decent…life is designed intelligibly, even if we grow really cynical as we face the onslaught of our days and forget as much.
It’s when one can look out at all things and see that they are in sublimation to love, the positive deserving of reinforcement, the negative deserving of redirection… that they are in a state capable of “entering” “into the kingdom of God.” That’s pretty literal. By seeing everything as belonging to the purposes of God/love in the moment, you can meaningfully enter “the kingdom of God”. These cats didn’t leave much to the imagination lol.
To observe the world in such a manner robustly changes it and quickly, energetically. So within, so without…regarding the notion of God. That’s the anchor there. By definition this focal point of a concept is everywhere all at once in every amount conceivable, indivisible, despite the fact that we live in a world of division… it’s the only thing that could change any other thing by thinking about it, at the level of theoretical thought…
The only leap of faith you’d need to take is believing that it does. It probably does.
So within, so without…works if there is an eternal presence in every conception of “where”-ness. Which means that experiences are dialogues with this eternal presence. If it can reduced to something as crude as a point, the point is resonance…which leads to bliss/conditions which ensure the effective survival of the human family for generations to come.
This allows for the creation of new souls…this is beyond me. But once they are around, they exist without beginning in that they were always in God waiting to become without…so within, so without… and these things have no beginning in the sense that they rose from something with no beginning, and they have no personal end in that they personally live on forever, as well as some of the life decisions they make (marriages, friendships, neck tattoos, etc.).
This is existence. I don’t understand any sort of emphasis on sin…even us pragmatists choose to never use the paradigm even though we could do hot new takes on it that actually are practical…it’s just a morbid topic… “sin”. As my Boss would say, “Fuck that shit.” Instead of focusing on sin, or yourself even (which is kinda selfish until you know how to be selfish effectively) how about instead we focus on seeing all things as in sublimation to God’s plans/love as they are in the moments at hand. If you learn to see the world in this way, somehow the kingdom of God springs forth spontaneously.
I was a fantastic church goer. And sin merely brought me into fallacious conceptions of shame…it brought me deeper into my own head, and seemed to wall me off from the parish/community even. Fuck hell, fuck shame, fuck beating yourself up all of the way….but simultaneously, fuck cutting corners.
Don’t focus on sin. It is not between you and your God. Don’t validate anything being between you and your God ever. Make an argument that your slate is clean in the moment, even if you are so inclined to say that you need to make penances in the future to fully enjoy that credit… be a lion with the vehicles that is the Holy Spirit. It is man’s job to tame the forces of nature to ensure a comfortable survival…the only vehicle that can get us there is God, not sin. Even where I see sin being used as a vehicle to create a sense of absolution with your Source…I don’t see those systems working effectively.
They should douse those systems with gasoline and light them on fire. Tower of Babel style...it's amazing how far up you guys were able to reach with this foundation but...it's time to throw it all awayyyy.

It's always those damn, perpetually young fringers...so ready to make the necessary life changes at the drop of a pin...don't they have property or other material hang-ups to worry about?!
